The race departure is organised in 19 groups, divided firstly by colours and then by groups.
The bib colours are allocated based on the records previously achieved both in Behobia San Sebastián or in other half marathons. Only records achieved in the last three years (exceptionally this year 4) will be accepted, and you will be asked to attach any proof upon inscription.
If proof is not given, and a colour other than white is chosen (white does not need proof, as it’s the last colour), the organisation will change to white or, otherwise, the colour that corresponds if you have run the Behobia over the last three years.
You can find your group and starting time in your bib. It is important to place yourself behind the banner with your group number. The starting time can be affected for different reasons and not match with your bib; however, your group will always be the correct one. If you start ahead of your departure group, you will be disqualified.
You can check here all the relevant information regarding the times needed for each bib colour..
There are 29 pacemakers throughout the race. They carry a flag with their time for the race.
They are distributed as follows:
IMPORTANT :
the backpacks cannot be heavier than 5kg and we highly recommend not to leave any valuables or breakable items, since the organisation will not be held responsible. The runners will have to leave their backpacks in the designated cloakroom, that corresponds to the last two numbers of their bib.
The participants can leave their bags, properly closed, with the sticker stating their bib number in any of the following delivery points:
The backpacks should be dropped off at the Point of distribution C.D Fortuna in Kursaal Congress Hall (Zurriola Hiribidea, 1, 20002 Donostia) friday 11th and saturday 12th of November. After the race, you can pick up your backpack in Plaza Gipuzkoa (Finishing line).
NO DROP OFF POINT AVAILABLE IN ANY OTHER LOCATION BEFORE THE RACE
Race day, from 8:30 until the established deadline set for each group at the back of the bib. After that time, the cloakroom service is not guaranteed.
The collection will take place at Plaza Gipuzkoa (Finishing line).
The meeting point for family and friends is located at Plaza Oquendo, where signs from A to Z are set up, so you could meet by your surname starting letter.
There are showers available at the end of the race. The locations are:
The finishing line is located right in the city centre, therefore the access with a private car is the worst option available. The best option is to park in one of the car parks located on the outskirts and catch the bus to get to the city centre.
