Conditions due to general elections

Participants

As we have been announcing, various bypasses or diversions have been organised along route to facilitate the race coinciding with general election day.

Specifically there are five possible diversions: two in Irun (km 1.5 and 2.4) and three in San Sebastian (km 16.5, 17.8 and 18.5) The bypasses will be set up when there is a demand for access to nearby polling stations.

If should you be re-routed, help things go smoothly by following these simple instructions:

  • Follow the instructions of organisational personnel.
  • Slow down and adapt your pace to the new route, but do not stop.
  • Do not overtake other participants until you have passed the diversion.
  • Do not join the original course route until instructed to do so.

Location of the Bypass points

In some cases the diversion will cause a narrowing of the circuit which may create inconvenience and confusion, so we urge you to be extemely attentive and, should you be re-routed, help things go smoothly by following these simple instructions:

  • Follow the instructions of organisational personnel.
  • Slow down and adapt your pace to the new route, but do not stop.
  • Do not overtake other participants until you have passed the diversion.
  • Do not join the original course route until instructed to do so.

Thank you for participating, for your understanding and cooperation.
